WHAT’S THE STORY OF THE SCHOOL FOR GOOD AND EVIL?
The plot of The School for Good and Evil revolves around two friends Sophie and Agatha. Both have completely contrasting mindsets but are more like soul sisters. Sophie has always wished to be a fairytale princess while Agatha is someone who only likes to read about the crazy twists. One day, both the girls visit their favorite Deauville's Storybook Shop and buy the Cinderella storybook. However, one thing seems very unfamiliar. The book had the stamp of SGE which catches sight of both and they inquire about it from the shopkeeper. He explains to them about a magical school known as The School for Good and Evil aka SGE. These are two schools where evils and heroes of fairytales are taught in order to find the right characters for each one. What do you think Sophie would have wished for? She desires the life of a princess and wants to flee from the village of Gavaldon.
Sophie becomes adamant to get enroll in SGE and pleads with Agatha to write a request letter to SGE along with her. Both the girls mail it and wait. Days pass but nothing happens and Sophie decides to find SGE on her own by leaving Gavaldon without telling anyone. Agatha sights her and tries to stop. But, a huge bird-like creature grips both of them and drops Agatha in the School of Good and Sophie in the School of Evil. From here begins the real story!
Sophie finds herself a misfit because she doesn’t want to be a villain and Agatha wants to be back in the village. All their efforts grab the attention of Nevers (the ones who belong to the evil school) and Evers (who belong to the good school). The headmaster Rhian sights this and offers Sophie a deal. If she manages to find her true love then he would let her be a part of the Evers.
