A Little About The Story

Since Things We Never Got Over (book 1 of the series), we could see two characters repelling each other whenever they met. Do you remember them? Yeah, we are talking about Lucian Rollins and Sloane Walton. We could never guess what the problem was with both of them because every time they met, Lucian was gentle and serious towards her but Sloane literally spat venom while talking. Nevertheless, the push-and-pull attraction was evident. Now, in Things We Left Behind, the two have their own story!

Lucian is someone who has built his great empire after a lot of good and bad things. It seems clear that he needs power and money. However, what others don’t know is that there are a million threats around Lucian. He can’t trust anyone because the ones who are close might stab him right in the back. On the other hand, Lucian is a lady who needs a simple life with kids and family. She is attracted to Lucian but the two have a beef quite old. Lucian wants to stay away from Sloane so she is not in any kind of trouble because of him. But, he doesn’t understand that the heroine is always under attack and it is the heroic knight’s duty to save her. That’s what men are for!
