Tyrannosaurus Rex

What Dinosaur are you quiz

Tyrannosaurus commonly known as T-Rex is on top of our list because most of us like the gigantic T-Rex. After all, it is considered the most dangerous dinosaur in the universe. In most of the dinosaur movies, T-Rex has always been a compulsion and starred them. They have big eyes that allow them to sight their prey keenly and a neck that can move approximately 280 degrees to fight and swallow.

T-Rex had sharp teeth and sturdy hind limbs that help it to run fast while the scaly tail whenever hits any being then it definitely crushes it down.

Triceratops

Triceratops with the scientific name Ceratopsia means “horned faces”. As we know that Triceratops had three horns; one on the nose while the other two on the head. Their heads are considered bigger than any other being on the planet, well this might also mean that they had bigger brains (but who knows!!!). Did you know that Triceratops had more than 800 teeth though they were herbivores? Moreover, they were the favorite meal of T-Rex.

These beings employed their horns to defend themselves which always used to cut through their enemy’s body. The head of Triceratops has a sort of crown which is actually a bone of its skull but no doubt that they look awesome!

Velociraptor

The word Velociraptor means "swift or speedy thief". If you have ever seen any dino movie then the small and quick dinosaurs that fight over food are actually Velociraptors. They are considered as one of the most intelligent among their race as they were cunning, whereas their small round eyes were sharper than an eagle.

One thing that must be cleared here is that Velociraptors had feathers and no scales over their bodies. So, people have the wrong perception about this animal and maybe you also get to be a Velociraptors after the What Dinosaur are you quiz if everybody thinks the complete opposite of who you are actually!

Stegosaurus

Did you know that Stegosaurus had brains of ping-pong ball size! Over their body, they had big scales starting from their head and ending on the tail and this is the reason why they are known as Stegosaurus which means “roofed lizard”. They might seem dangerous but they were plant eaters and probably won’t harm you (if you ever get to see them!!!).

Moreover, though they had a small brain but utilized it smartly as they used to swallow rocks along with tough plants in order to grind and chew them easily.

Spinosaurus

Paleontologists relate Spinosaurus to the crocodile family, however, they weighed more than a T-Rex. Interestingly, it is believed that they are the only dinos who could walk and swim and could also catch fishes easily to feed themselves. Over the body, it had spine-like scales which is why they were named Spinosaurus meaning “Spine Lizard”.

It is calculated that Spinosaurus is the largest carnivore dinosaurs found up till now. Their mouth had multiple sets of teeth which allowed it to tear down its prey in seconds.

Apatosaurus

Apatosaurus had the longest neck and tail in the dinosaur kingdom with a small head. This was actually a result of evolution that took place due to food (leaves) that were arduous to reach and with consistent stretching they got this long neck. Apatosaurus employed the neck very intelligently and if you have ever watched a fight of them in any movie then you would observe that they fought with their necks and tails.

The word Apatosaurus means “Deceptive Lizard”. They were pure vegetarians and considered calm in nature, whereas, they hardly ever initiated a fight and by looking at their size no being would have tried to trigger their anger.

Ankylosaurus

Ankylosaurus is quite interesting just like the meaning of their name i.e. “fused lizard”. Nature had gifted them with their personal armor to defend. Though they had a big-size body with tough leathery armor but they were plant-eaters. If you wish to have a look at Ankylosaurus then you can see an armadillo because both have quite a resemblance.

Even though the brain of this being was just walnut-sized but only the tail of an Ankylosaurus was powerful enough to crack the bones of its enemy double than its size while the small spines on its skin were equally deadly!

Hadrosaurus

Also known as the duck-billed dinosaurs, Hadrosaurus are huge and brawny. The word Hadrosaurus means “bulky lizards” as they had fleshy body specifically the abdomen. It is believed that they used to live in herds but up till now, only one specimen of Hadrosaurus has been found.

The paleontologists don’t know much about them yet but they are thought to be quiet and calm in nature as they were herbivores.
