And guess what? Mordred, who's normally the bad guy, is actually the rightful king in this story, not the villain. It's all pretty mixed up, right?

The story is being told by an old monk named Derfel Cadarn, who wasn't even born in Britain! He's telling it to a young queen named Igraine, long after Arthur has passed away. This different way of looking at things makes the old Arthurian stories seem new and exciting. As you keep watching the series, you'll see lots of cool stuff about power, betrayals, and how tough it was to be a leader back then.
