STORY OF SUCCESSION SERIES
Before you get on with the Succession Trivia, let us refresh your mind by sharing the story of the series with you. Succession revolves around the business of the Roy family, a media conglomerate named Waystar RoyCo. Eighty years old Logan Roy has made his business flourish after many sacrifices and grave decisions. Now, his four children namely; Connor, Kendall, Roman, and Shiv are in search of the throne and wish to become the supreme power in the HBO's Succession.
However, when Logan decides to stay as CEO and isn't ready to distribute his powers, all are happy, but Kendall, the eldest son, wishes to ascend the throne. Fate even gave him a chance as Logan stayed unwell after a severe cardiac arrest. Kendall, when he gained power, knew that things were just appearing well from far but were completely devastating from inside. Whatever he did was not affecting it positively. The business seemed far from any sort of illegal activities, but Waystar RoyCo is submerged into various activities that affect its prestige. Gradually, the business declines and Kendall tries his best to handle but his siblings and father never realize his attempts to make up the things.
Consequently, things are taken back by Logan while Kendall falls into depression. He heartily feels that no one would ever understand him and his addiction to drugs crosses all lines. Situations become more difficult for Logan as he not only has a falling business to control but a dispersed family as well. Roman Roy
Roman is genuinely like a rich brat. Regardless of the fact what his siblings do, he is always by his father's side. He hardly ever disagrees with Logan because he wishes to become his favorite child (Hahaha). This is because he wants all the love from him. Roman is the kind of guy who prefers to live life the easy way. This is why many of his siblings are often hard on him. So, Roman is also usually sarcastic towards all.
Roman tries his best to handle things in the best way, but sometimes, his decisions are partially made through other people's minds. However, he never even realizes it. No doubt, Roman lacks self-confidence and self-assurance.
Logan Roy
What do we say about "The Great Logan"! He is a dignified old man, always dressed formally and ready to influence people around him. He is obsessed with his work and position and thinks that nobody is good enough to take his position (as CEO) in Waystar RoyCo. You can say that he wishes to be the supreme power forever. Basically, for Logan, business is more important than family. You would often see that he conversates with his own children in a way that he's in a meeting and usually passes sarcastic remarks.
Apart from his attitude, Logan is a serious man with excellent business skills. He has significant experience which benefits him while making business decisions. He has a reputation in the business world that no one can deny.
Kendall Roy
Kendall was in his late 30s when the series started. He is smart and a gentleman (when he's sober). Initially, we saw that he was doing fine with his life but didn't involve much in the business because of his drugs and drinking issues. Kendall also went to the rehabilitation center to get rid of it. When Logan was hanging between life and death, Kendall was the one who stood for the seat of CEO. But, things hardly ever go as he plans.
He always has to go through failures no matter how much he tries. Kendall stood against his father but the attempt went in vain. Due to this, he again fell for drugs.
Siobhan "Shiv" Roy
Let's call her Shiv like others! Everybody knows that she is the smartest in the family (even Logan realizes this). Shiv is mostly seen with her boyfriend Tom, who is mostly spotting ways to fit in the Roy family. She is better than her brothers and when it comes to running Waystar RoyCo. Shiv never looks behind her and stands firm with her decisions.
Her brothers also support her and at times, Logan does as well, but he never expresses much. Shiv plays intelligently and diplomatically. She always has plans in her mind and calculates the reaction well.
