WHAT’S THE STORY OF SPIDERHEAD?

The story of the Spiderhead movie has been extracted from Escape From Spiderhead which is a published short story. But, there are many changes involved so we can’t say that it is totally identical to it. It begins with the transportation of people from prison to a facility that seems more like a lavish and luxurious dorm. With the consent of the prisoners, they are brought to this government facility for the purpose of experimentation. If they give their consent, their sentence is reduced and so, there are many to confirm.

The man who leads this research facility is Steve Abnesti (none other than our love Chris Hemsworth!) and along with him is his assistant Mark. There are many inmates but among them, few are consistently highlighted and Abnesti’s favorites include Jeff, Lizzy, Heather, and a few more. Many drugs are being tested on inmates and at times the results are funny while at other times, it is horrific. Steve Abnesti is depicted as a light-hearted and cool guy who apparently just follows the orders sent to him by higher officials.

On the contrary, Jeff finds out that the research facility is in no way linked to the government and that Abnesti Pharmaceuticals is running it. This means that Steve is running it all and it’s for testing drugs made by his company. The drama and thrill don’t end here as the real twists begin from here!

Steve Abnesti

Steve Abnesti is the main villain and character in the story. He is smart and good-looking. At first, we all fall in love with Abnesti but soon realize that he is the one who is the real game setter. There was no one behind the Spiderhead facility except for him. But here, we all must praise his intelligence and how well he plays the drama and creates drugs that can be somehow good for humanity. However, we soon realize that there is a satan behind his beautiful and charming face. He only wishes to be powerful and rule the world with his insane drugs.

You are clever but don’t utilize your knowledge and skills in the best way. This often ends you up in trouble and you don’t get to be in the good books of all. Try to be more selfless and care about those who rely on you.

Jeff

Jeff is a character who transforms throughout the story and keeps us all intact to the story. He is likable and even Abnesti is interested in testing his drugs on him (more than on other inmates). At first, we observe great sincerity by Jeff toward Abnesti and he is always thinking good about him. But, there is something that makes Jeff rebel and read Abnesti’s diary, and there he gets to know the truth. Once Jeff realizes that Spiderhead is doing no good for anyone and all are under various drug effects, he plans an escape. No doubt, he has killed his own friends and his girlfriend by accident but the way he saves Lizzy is heart-touching.

Like Jeff, you have broken many hearts before but the best thing about you is that you regret it. There is no lie in the fact that you try to make things better. Keep this spirit and you would earn the best in your life.

Heather

Heather is an attractive girl in the story who may have a small role but she is the spark in the story. She is the one who is always a headache for Abnesti but he is also interested in her because she was able to fight the obedience drug. No matter what Abnesti says, she does the opposite and tries to make things tough for him. Heather is a challenge that Abnesti deals with through his drugs but her witty and sharp mind is able to live through it all. We admire her strong-headedness and perseverance.

You are brave and committed to your goals and people who think they can blow you off are wrong because there is no one in this world who can bring you down on your knees. Absolutely no one!

Lizzy

If you are thinking “What Spiderhead character are you?” then listen up, you are very much like Lizzy! She is lovable, kind, and optimistic. We appreciated how well she took up past of Jeff when he himself was guilty. Lizzy always made him realize that he has a good soul and that he shouldn’t think bad of himself. Her words are soothing and comforting for everyone. Although she has been through worse circumstances after losing her child, but Lizzy still is good to all.

You have had many experiences which have hurt your soul but you always think the best for all. Like Lizzy, you are never harmful to anyone and try to highlight positivity in everything. This is why you are a winner in the race of life because nothing can bring you down.
