STORY OF PURPLE HEARTS MOVIE
Let’s start from the beginning of the story! Purple Hearts is a medal awarded to the soldiers of the US who either get injured during a fight/war or pass away. The story uncovers the life of Cassie (Sofia Carson) an outstanding singer and Luke (Nicholas Galitzine) a Marine. The former lives for freedom and peace without any bloodshed while the latter sticks to the rules and ideology of government.
Cassie is a bar singer, songwriter, and waitress who wishes to be independent without the help of her struggling mother. She faces quite detrimental conditions because of her medical conditions due to type 1 diabetes. On the other hand, our hero Luke is a Marine who in a blindfolded way follows the orders of his seniors and stands by their stance. Our love birds meet when these freshly recruited Marine come to the bar where Cassie works and among them is Cassie’s childhood friend Frankie. There she gets oddly attracted to Luke when he tries to flirt with her though she puts him down because she hates anyone who is involved in oppression and killing.
However, Cassie thinks of a plan when she is unable to meet ends! She offers Frankie to marry her just like what other soldiers do for extra money and incentives commonly known as “Military Contract Marriage.” But, Frankie rejects the idea as he has a girlfriend and plans to marry her soon. Behind them, Luke overhears everything and threatens both that this is cheating against the law and that they both can be convicted. After considering the thoughts, Luke himself gets ready and gets married to Cassie.
