WHY IS THE STORY OF DIVERGENT LOVED BY ALL?

Divergent revolves around the protagonist Beatrice Prior (changed her name to Tris afterward) and her fellows living in Chicago. The world has faced the greatest threats and in the future, the life of humans is based on their personalities and traits. Prior is the one who is different from all other humans, it feels as if she doesn’t belong to this world.

Every human in the futuristic world is divided into five factions. It can be elaborated as if each human must fit into one of these molds or else aren’t considered fit for the society. All this situation becomes a dilemma for the 16-years old girl Prior as she doesn’t fit into any of the five because she is special. Prior is “Divergent”, the one with enough power to save the sinking world alone. Do you know what Divergent means? WHICH DIVERGENT FACTION ARE YOU MOST LIKE?

Abnegation

Abnegation is the faction that contains humans who are completely selfless and live to benefit others. The humans are more like angels (as a matter of fact), they never go after luxuries and money, instead, their goal is to serve humanity in the best way. We wish that our Earth had a faction like this! The best thing is that the future world makes the most of them and even among them the best 50 are chosen. Those 50 are the ones who lead and run the government.

They are mostly responsible for running things smoothly and democratically. You can identify Abnegation by their simple grey clothes (both men and women). The only accessory they have is a watch on hand while they are sweet, polite, and caring as oppose to Hunger Games.

Erudite

Are you an Erudite? If you want to be one then study hard to become a part of this faction. They make the society livable as they gain wisdom and knowledge and fill the places of teachers, historians, writers, scientists, etc. They are very intelligent and do not get involved in any kind of negative activities as their goal in life is learning and gaining expertise.

You can track an Erudite by their profession and by the spectacles they wear (even though they have no sight issues but they wear to look like a geek!) Moreover, they always wear something blue to keep themselves calm and composed and depict their wisdom. They are the brain of society.

Dauntless

As the name shows, people in this faction are completely fearless and the word “cowardice” is nowhere to be found around them. They are trained in every way i.e. mentally, physically, and emotionally. Dauntless faction is made to stand for people who are innocents and unable to protect their rights and themselves. Whatever, you say they would do it whether it is falling off the building, jumping off a train, fighting monsters, etc.

You can find a Dauntless easily because they wear black clothes with noticeable tattoos, piercings, and heavy makeup. They scare away their enemies even with their faces and appearance. They are fighters and literally step into things without thinking.

Candor

This faction portrays and emphasizes honesty. All they refer to is consciousness and open truth and they believe that lies and dishonesty cause issues in society. If you want to become a part of this faction then you can’t hide and lie about anything at all; your life becomes an open book.

Being the law guards and great leaders, Candors wear black and white clothes and do not believe in any kind of ostentatiousness. Candors are often found eradicating the ones who try to cheat and backstab others. They are very strict when it comes to their rules.

Amity

Amities are lively, simple, and caring people. These humans live their life like normal people and do not have much to wish. All they need is peace and love in society. Amities fill the space and perform jobs like farming, counselors, and artists. They play a vital role in balancing society and spreading positive vibes.

As mentioned above, Amity’s convey their liveliness with the bright colors they wear (mostly red and yellow). They opt for simplicity and maintain brotherhood; you can say that they are a bond between all factions.
