STORY OF GLASS ONION A KNIVES OUT MYSTERY

The plot of Glass Onion begins when a megalomaniac businessman who has more money than sense, invites a few friends. On his own island in Greece, he has a mansion known as Glass Onion. No wonder the place is amazingly beautiful and what we can call perfection. The invitees are scientist Lionel Toussaint, Governor Claire Debella, fashion designer Birdie Jay, Birdie's assistant Peg, Duke Cody, his girlfriend Whiskey, Alpha co-founder Cassandra "Andi" Brand, and detective Benoit Blanc. Actually, Blanc is an uninvited guest who is allowed to stay. You must be thinking why are all there in the first place? The reason would sound silly to you but Miles wanted to have fun and play a murder mystery game.

The game is of course fun and is won by Blanc as he guesses the right person. Nevertheless, Blanc makes Miles realize that he has given hints to all invitees and he might get killed in real. Guess what? Duke drinks from Miles’ glass and dies immediately. What a catastrophe that no one knows the killer yet everyone is a suspect. By the way, what Glass Onion character are you? Blanc is someone who is more funny, witty, keen, and observant than he appears to be. Then again, it is always thrilling to watch things from his eyes as he makes the calculations like a competent detective. At first, Blanc believes he might be falling for the false cues but trusting instincts is what has always benefitted him. Being among fools and pursuing the one smart as hell killer is not easy and only a man like Blanc has the capability to do so. He might appear a little old but Blanc’s the best detective anyone can find!

Helen Brand

You are stark, straightforward, goal-oriented, and don’t care a bit about what the world thinks. As as far as you are content, nothing else matters, right?

Helen carries so much in her heart and we all suspected her since the first scene. Well, of course, she had secrets buried and when they were unveiled, hell lose out free. She is Andi’s identical twin and wouldn’t let her murderer get away so easily. With Blanc, Helen is more than aspired to her goal. But, the cherry on top is her attitude towards all the other guests. She just loathes everyone and tries to stay far from all of them as much as possible.

Birdie Jay

More like Jay, you have extensive knowledge regarding the matters that intrigue you. But, you really don’t bother flaunting matters. Yes, you think less and act more which gets you into problems every now and then.

No offense but Jay is quite stupid in most of her actions. Yes, the woman never thinks once before spitting something from her mouth or before attempting to do anything. This is the exact reason why she is caught in trouble and controversies every time. It feels as if Jay has zero common sense and we highly doubt how she made herself stand as a successful model and then a fashion designer. But then again, Jay shows off her cunning side too (which is hardly seen) when she tricks people, especially Miles Bron for her benefit.

Lionel Toussaint

Career, race to be the first, leading the path, and trying to be the best are all thoughts that run through your mind. Not wrong at all but make sure you do not harm anyone while you pursue your way.

Lionel is someone with intellect and is pretty genius. Being an outstanding scientist, he leads Miles Bron’s work in his company and is the one who leads* Klear technology. Deep within, Lionel realizes how perilous the experiment is but Miles forces him to continue. In order to save his job and integrity as a world-class scientist, Lionel has no other way. Deep down he knows the consequences but stands with Miles. Lionel has his stakes and chose the side practically rather than with emotions.
