WHAT’S THE STORY OF BETTER CALL SAUL?
Better Call Saul is a series that is the prequel to Breaking Bad and takes us deep into the life of Jimmy McGill or we shall say “Saul Goodman.” By watching Better Call Saul, we get to know with what kind of lemons Saul made the lemonade and his life ended up where he is in Breaking Bad. No doubt, Saul has been a wicked man earlier in order to meet his ends. However, he tried to make things better when he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. In a one-room shelter (next to a nail salon), McGill tried to set up an office and a home for himself. However, couldn’t get cases that could make him a fortune. He usually received cases of civil liability claims and even worked as a lawyer for criminals. Even though his own brother was a partner in a reputed law firm but because McGill’s brother was in an ailing condition, so he had to run two houses alone. This all wasn’t making things any better so McGill had to think of something else and fate took him to Walter White.
Our protagonist then switched from Jimmy McGill to Saul Goodman. He is now very possessive about his title and stature as an attorney for Saul Goodman and his dirty works. In order to defend and prove all his illegal businesses legal and rightful, Saul has also become a devil layered by an attractive face. Hence, this is what Saul has created for himself and there is no way anyone can move him from his stance.

No doubt that Bob Odenkirk has portrayed both McGill’s and Goodman’s characters in an immaculate manner. As McGill, we can sight a man who has no way out of his financial problems which are making him indebted to others. And, when there was no way to deal with his situation the man turned to more of his satanic side which not only changed his name to Saul Goodman but also his demeanor. The unruly style, unethical approach, determination to side with the illegal businesses of Walter, and crossing every boundary to defend him altered this character completely. People often ask you the reason for your crossed style but you just ignore it with a smirk. Though you can’t change your name but the bitter memories of the past have hardened your heart like a rock.

Mike Ehrmantraut
Mike might seem old but his hair isn’t grey enough that he can’t handle situations that go around in cartel gangs (by the way, he is bald!). For years, Mike has been working as a parking lot attendant/valet but he entered a world far more dangerous just for the sake of money. At first, we find Mike just being between the cartels but when he took up the job of Gus Fring's chief henchman, we all were totally surprised. Being a bodyguard truly made him a magnet for killers but still, we never saw fear in his eyes of Mike. However, he has always been overprotective towards her granddaughter and daughter-in-law. His relationship with Jimmy as a friend always sends a wave of positivity toward viewers. Someone other than Mike is also a risk-taker! You also don’t care about the consequence, all you have in mind is your decision, and the present- future is never in your view.

Kim Wexler
Kim is a strong female character in the series who has made her place with her kind and daring heart. We all could feel all the optimism that this woman carried. Eventually, Kim falls in love with Jimmy which adds the spark of romance to this serious and action-packed series. Kim is a lawyer as well and tried her best to be neutral in her cases and defend the ones who were on the right path but after getting involved with Jimmy and watching his connections with drug cartels, she could feel that everything was going the wrong way. Nevertheless, Jimmy manipulated her easily. You also try to be on the right path but this world and its people never let you.

Howard Hamlin
Hamlin is the co-owner of Hamlin & McGill law firm. We all know that he was the villain in season one as he didn’t want Jimmy to be successful in this profession, but things changed pretty quickly. The one who never wanted Jimmy around had to be with him in situations. In the later seasons, Hamlin never acted like a villain, and eventually, we all began liking him. How can we all forget, how much Jimmy enjoys throwing satire bombs toward Hamlin when he can’t answer any of it. The whole world thinks you are a villain but they don’t know that you aren’t. It’s just that you prefer not to be fake in front of anyone like Hamlin.
