At the same time, they're all fighting to be in charge, as they think about a future where they might not have as much say in cultural and political things.

In The Afterparty Season 2, we're faced with another mystery involving a famous person getting killed at a very emotional event. This time, the person who gets murdered is a smart tech guy from Silicon Valley named Edgar Minnows. He's found dead the morning after he gets married to Grace, who really likes old things.

Now, Grace is also the younger sister of Zoë from Season 1. Zoë goes to the wedding with her boyfriend Aniq. They've been together for a year since what happened in Season 1. Aniq really wants to make Zoë's parents, Feng and Vivian, like him. But things get tricky when Grace becomes the main person the police think might have killed Edgar. So, Aniq asks Detective Danner to help find out what happened to Edgar, prove Grace didn't do it, and make Zoë's parents like him.
