STORY OF SQUID GAME

Hwang Jun-ho believes that his brother also came for this game and is never seen again ever since. BACKSTORIES OF MAIN CHARACTERS IN SQUID GAMES

Seong Gi-hun

Seong Gi-hun became a positive character in the series as it proceeded and even the winner of Squid Games but, he wasn’t that nice earlier. After being divorced, Seong Gi-hun changed a lot. He never cared for his daughter, stole money, and even was rude to his mother. He lost everything in gambling while the debts took whatever he had left. Once he was invited to the games, Seong Gi-hun got ready because he had nothing to lose. But as the game continued, Seong Gi-hun became more respectful and empathetic.

Sae-byeok

Sae-byeok is a character whose death made us all cry. She was the one who wanted to have her family back rather than the luxuries which all other players desired. Having a younger brother, she wanted to bring back her mother who was jailed across the border. At such young age, Sae-byeok had seen the worst times but the best thing about this girl is that she never turned into a vicious savage like others. She didn’t kill anybody for her lust and greed but only when someone attacked. Trust us, we all can observe Sae-byeok defending herself. But unfortunately, she never got to see her last wish coming true.

Cho Sang-woo

After Cho Sang-woo had to bid farewell to his successful career as a head of investments in the company, he had to experience what he thought could never be possible. He lost all his money, respect, and even his family leaving him in this helpless position because he was unable to earn. Hence, Cho Sang-woo turned into a fraudster who cheated people for money. This kept going on until Cho Sang-woo became wanted by the police. It was a now and never situation for Cho Sang-woo so he had to win this game either by hook or by crook. This is the reason why he deceived all the people who trusted him and killed them heartlessly.

Ali Abdul

Ali Abdul, an immigrant from Pakistan wished to have a better life for himself and his family in South Korea. Working day and night, he got less wage than others but still, his optimism was cherishing for his family. But, things turned complex when one day Ali Abdul lost his fingers as they were scrapped by the machine. Neither did the company pay for his physical loss and nor his previous unpaid salaries. Living in an unfamiliar country, he came into the game with the hope to earn money for his family and their prosperous future. However, things like Squid Games aren’t for kind and nice people like Ali Abdul. He was the one who saved lives and trusted everyone but was stabbed in the back.

Oh Il-nam

We all pitied him because of his age and the ailing disease of brain tumor but this heartless animal wasn’t worth it. He was never a participant, nor he was killed but was the real mastermind behind Squid Games. Oh Il-nam initiated this because he was tired of his boredom. Even the hell would spit a creature like him! Because of him, countless people lost their lives.
